| Happy Holidays!
December is here and everyone is buzzing about with a wonderful warm holiday glow. The kids are excited....whether it be that the holidays are upon us, or that half the year is gone....they are smiling! We have new report cards...new fitness programs...new spirit and enthusiasum in each and ever turn from students, teachers and parents alike.
Our focus this year is to change the mindset to proactive planning and aligning forces. What am I talking about? Well, the faculty and staff care immensely about each and every student as do each and every parent...so by combining all efforts we can minimize the amount of flyers, fundraising efforts, confusing communications etc. We want to be sure everyone has a voice and all of the basics are covered; we want to ensure that all have a specific goal in mind for every dollar raised through our wonderful PTA and that we are hitting on all the improvement plans to better meet the needs of all the TGES children.
We have wonderful Parent and Teacher Liasons that are proactively pursuing these interests and we will make the TGES PTA stronger then ever! I am asking each and every one of you to take a moment to send an email to me at information@tgepta.org to let me know what you would like to offer up! I am looking for what creative juices and ideas you have...what connections or support you or your company can offer to support any of our TGES efforts...and lastly but most importantly your comments and nominations for teachers of the year letters so that we can recognize our wonderful TGES staff for all they do through our National PTA.
Lastly on a personal note...I want to express my sincere thanks to each and every parent, teacher, faculty member and off course YOU for taking part in all that we do at TGES including meetings, events and student involvement. I love our school, our staff and our students...you are all amazing! Let's keep building up TGES in all we do!
Mark the date! May 14th...we will be having an end of year WOOO HAAAA together at Camden Yards watching an Orioles game together! Think about coming and rooting for our hometown O's as an end of year kick off! More details to come!
